The NWGIA offers several professional, continuing education courses as well as being a major sponsor/organizer for collaboration between Law Enforcement, Probation, Corrections, Prosecutors and others entities in the Criminal Justice community that work in the field of Criminal Street Gangs.

From all of the Staff and Executive Board at the NWGIA, we look forward to providing once again the leading-edge training speakers, topics and relevant information to enhance your officer safety, investigations, intelligence operations and general knowledge of criminal gang activity to ensure successful prosecution, public education and prevention and intervention.

SYMPOSIUM DETAILS:

The Training Symposium (May 6th – 10th) will cover a wide range of criminal gangs, taught by recognized experts in the field of street gangs and related topics. The subject matter will be beneficial to all law enforcement personnel and is projected to include the following topics.

  • Track A: Gang Investigations
  • Track B: Intervention and Prevention Strategies
  • Track C: Prosecution Ethics and Gang Expert Testimony
  • Track D: Corrections Investigations and STG Updates

ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED TO
Law Enforcement Personnel, Corrections Staff, Parole/Probation, Prosecutors, Crime Analysts and other related agencies desiring the most current information regarding gangs. Identification will be REQUIRED.

INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION STRATEGIES COURSE
We also offer a one-day course for Intervention and Prevention Strategies applicable to all those who work in fields where they may come in contact with the criminal gang element. Those people would include all Probation, Educators, Counselors, Faith-Based Community leaders, etc. Identification will be REQUIRED.

Refunds up to 30 days before event (Eventbrite’s fee is nonrefundable).
