Current Training Courses Offered

The NWGIA offers several professional, continuing education courses as well as being a major sponsor/organizer for collaboration between Law Enforcement, Probation, Corrections, Prosecutors and others entities in the Criminal Justice community that work in the field of Criminal Street Gangs.

The Training Symposium (May 6th – 10th) will cover a wide range of criminal gangs, taught by recognized experts in the field of street gangs and related topics. The subject matter will be beneficial to all law enforcement personnel and is projected to include the following topics

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING DAY ON MONDAY MAY 6TH

Gang Recognition, Identification, Intervention and Prevention Strategies (Gangs 101)

We offer this course to all those who work in fields where they may come in contact with the criminal gang element. Those people would include all Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, Probation, Educators, Counselors, Faith-Based Community leaders, etc.. Identification will be REQUIRED. The courses topics are taught by recognized experts in the field of street gangs and related topics (classes subject to change).

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to costs incurred by the NWGIA prior to a Symposium, refunds (less your $75 non-refundable deposit) will only be issued to cancellations up to May 3rd, 2019. Refunds will be sent to the enrolling agency within 14 days after the CONCLUSION of the Symposium. Paid registrations will NOT be refunded for registrants who fail to attend the Symposium.
